Wines
Selections from Boutique Wineries of the U.S. West Coast
At Alaska Sea Adventures we proudly serve domestic wines from boutique wineries located in the renowned wine regions of the U.S. west coast. These wines are crafted on a very small scale (only about 200 cases each) and they can’t be found in a restaurant or grocery store or purchased through a wine distributor.
The unique wines that we feature with dinner each evening have been personally selected by Captain Dennis and his wife after sampling varietals and traveling through the wine regions. Captain Dennis works personally with many of the winemakers to select and purchase the wines and has even participated in the winemaking process at one of the wineries.
During the charters, Captain Dennis and his chef generally feature about twelve different wines. Various wines from the growing region of Paso Robles in California will be featured this summer as will wines from Oregon and Washington.
Central California’s Paso Robles growing region produces wines with a uniquely wonderful terroir.
Captain Dennis says, “We like working personally with the winemakers and feel their efforts reflect the philosophy that we have at Alaska Sea Adventures. We are all skilled independent craftsmen and strive to produce the best products possible. We are all good at what we do.”
